Sugar Daddy relationships are preventable.

Many young girls and boys are drawn into relationships with older partners due to financial pressure, social influence, or lack of awareness. These unequal relationships increase the risk of manipulation, unsafe sex and sexually transmitted infections.

Knowledge protects.

When young people understand how age gap sexual relationships (Sugar Daddy relationships) create risk, they make safer choices. Studies show awareness programs can reduce risky relationships by up to 50%.

Prevention saves futures.

Unsafe sexual relationships lead to teenage pregnancies, school dropouts and lifelong health challenges. By promoting knowledge and awareness of Sugar Daddy relationships, the youth can break the cycle of vulnerability associated with exploitative relationships.

1 in 4 Kenyan teenage girls becomes pregnant before 19.

40%
Of new HIV infections occur among youth aged 15–24.

Less than 5% of girls who leave school due to pregnancy ever return.

What We Do

Empowering girls through education.

Partner

We collaborate with government, local organizations, schools, and community leaders to reach adolescents where they are. These partnerships help us align with national education and health priorities while ensuring that our programs are relevant, trusted, and scalable.

Educate and Empower

Through our Sugar Daddy Intervention, we educate adolescents, especially girls in Grades 8 and 9 (and boys), on the risks of relationships with older partners, who often have higher HIV infection rates. Rather than promoting abstinence, we inform youth of the risks associated with Sugar Daddy relationships and how age-appropriate relationships built on mutual respect and equality are safer. Our sessions are youth-led, engaging, and grounded in real data.

We rigorously evaluate outcomes before and after our intervention, conducting systematic monitoring and evaluation over time to understand what works and why. This evidence-driven approach allows us to continuously refine our model, strengthen impact, and ensure our work remains effective in improving adolescent health and empowerment across Kenya.
